Dr. John Brion, PhD, PMHNP-BC
Dr. John Brion, a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, provides psychiatric care for people aged 12 and above. While he is open to working with all psychiatric and mental concerns, he specializes in the treatment of mood disorders (anxiety and depression), ADHD in adults, and substance/behavioral addictions (alcohol, drugs, food, sex and hoarding). He is experienced in providing psychotherapy and/or psychotropic medication to address alterations in mental health.
Dr. Brion graduated with his PhD in nursing with a minor in counseling from The Ohio State University. He also holds degrees in psychology, sociology, and history. He has served on the faculty of Duke University and The Ohio State University and has published numerous journal articles. Recognition of his work includes a Fellowship in the National Academies of Practice. In addition to his formal education, Dr. Brion has received training through Harvard University Medical School Department of Psychiatry, The Beck Institute, and the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM).
Kevin Murphy, PMHNP-BC
Kevin Murphy is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who provides care for individuals aged 12 and older. He evaluates and treats a broad range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, and related conditions. His approach combines evidence-based medication management with supportive therapy, with an emphasis on collaboration and meeting clients where they are.
Kevin earned his Master of Science in Nursing with specialization in Psychiatric Mental Health from The University of Alabama, following earlier degrees in nursing and political science. He has worked across a variety of clinical settings, supporting individuals with diverse psychiatric and medical needs. He is committed to reducing stigma and creating a safe, respectful environment where clients feel heard and supported in their treatment.
